CEO: Rostelecom to sign 2–3 bln rbl forward contract for routers
NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Jun 2 (PRIME) -- Russian state-controlled telecom operator Rostelecom will sign a forward contract for manufacturing of routers with local processors worth 2 to 3 billion rubles, President Mikhail Oseyevsky told PRIME on Friday.
“It is mass equipment, home routers. We will make them, and Mikron is to produce Russian processors for it…I think the forward contract amounts to 2 to 3 billion rubles…We are to receive equipment of access to the Internet, home routers, simply speaking, for this sum. They are to have Russian chips,” Oseyevsky said.
The top executive said in mid-April that Rostelecom would launch two manufacturing facilities in the two following months.
